welcome

I must learn to love the fool in me
the one who feels too much
talks too much
takes too many chances
wins sometimes and loses often
lacks self-control
loves and hates
hurts and gets hurt
promises and breaks promises
laughs and cries.

seems like i'm ultra super free now.. cos i 've so cleverly left my GC at my aunt's hse and bleah got nth to do.. hai.. waste time again.. slacking arnd...

Friday's Connect Singapore was a failure. i didn't say the pledge or see the President.. BOOOOO..

Ltr tat night watched the Olympics opening ceremony.. the performance was not bad... but ltr the walk in of the 204 countries was too bloody long.. i fell asleep more than just once.. i dun understand why can't they just cut it short to walking 200m to wave at everyone then walk into the centre of the field. why must they walk 400m then walk into the centre. then the next problem.. they were not coming out in english alphabetical order... so i was so confused... after abt 2 hrs.. Singapore finally came out... poor Greece stood there for so long already... next i tot yeah finally the last torch bearer is going to run in and light the olympic flame.. i was wrong.. 4 althletes still had to pass the torch arnd the stadium then the 5th guy FLY and run another 400m in the sky.. spectacular... but by then it was already past 12 midnight. i can't imagine how tired some of them are... or how are those who are competing the next morning going to hv enough sleep... my mum made a funny comment when the torch was finally lighted up "the bird nest looks like it's on fire"

i found sth quite funny on the web.. abt the names of the athletes.. it's a little provoking though.. erm and it's ultra L-A-M-E... quoted from http://espnstar.com/other-sports/beijing-games/news/detail/item100402/At-the-Games,-it
  • the list boasts of at least seven 'Cooks', even though organisers believe they are not numerous enough to spoil the Olympic broth
  • at least six 'Clarks' among the athletes, but they are here strictly to corner Olympic glory and not to do paperwork
  • Fiona Butler, Virginia Farmer, Mike Mason, Carole Peon, Stacey Porter, Stephen Stewart, Andrew Hunter and finally Jarrod Shoemaker sound like they were in the wrong profession
  • Alex White, Steven Brown, Mathew Gray and Anna Green would not be far from truth if they claim to have added colour to the occasion.
  • avian surnames too seem in the vogue and standing testimony to the fact are Istvan Bee, Sue Bird, Kim Crow, Dexter Fowler and Isabel Swan.
  • Though the Beijing Games so far look flawless, there seems couple of apparent spelling mistakes -- like Vincent Kompany or Anja Hitzler besides an oxymoron in Mary King
